Where oh where has Mekayla been??

Oh my goodness has it been a long time since I've blogged or what?!

Truthfully- this girl = super busy! No joke. 

It has been absolutely insane.  I started school, I started work, I am currently playing house ((*GASP*)), and have been trying to get back in shape.  School's okay. Work's okay- I get to do my homework there so it all works out.  As of working out...Trevor has been making me do p90x with him.  That is a whole new story.  I mean it's gotten to be oooooookaaay.  Sure I cuss at the T.V. from time to time but do you blame me?  Have you done it?? Plyometrics.  That's all I have to say.  I have one more complaint about p90x...we've been going at it for a pretty good two weeks.  Wanna take a guess who's lost the most weight?  Yup. Not me! It's absolutely ridiculous! Weight is literally melting off Trevor, for me? A measly 3 pounds.  Totally not cool being a girl.  So...as an addition to p90-freakin-x I've been running in the morning.  We'll see how that goes.  I've been at it for a solid three days!! Woohoo!! Don't get me wrong, I love being in shape and getting into shape, but the process of getting there SUCKS!!

Anyway....enough about my complaining.

As of today, we went and had a couple of drinks at the Boardwalk.  It was absolutely perfect outside.  So we sat outside and enjoyed the weather.

visited the twins!!! Yup, that would be the infamous Mable, myself, and Ruby!!

They're so sweet and cuddly! 

4 more weeks till Mardi Gras!! Yay! Can't wait!!

Back to Life

Life sucks.  

I think I could forever live without school or work.  But don't we all?

I started school last week. I haven't decided if this semester is going to be okay or not.  I'm about 50/50 right now.  Reasons being that I only have 1 class I have to go to, which is on Tuesday from 4-7.  ((There's part of the reason I'm iffy about the semester)) Yes a 3 hour class. Ugh. And to make it worse, the teacher won't even be there every Tuesday he'll be on a camera.  Totally blows. 

However I have my other classes online.  I had a crappy selection due to late registration.. I'm a procrastinator.  That's the part I'm really iffy about...Yes I don't have to go to these classes, but now I'm going to have to keep up!

I start work tomorrow.  I'm pretty excited due to the money factor and for something to do.  My job ended back in early December so needless to say I'm really excited for the money factor. :)

Here's another reason I don't know how I'm going to feel about this semester...

Ya me and books in general really don't get along all that well.  

 So here's to the semester in hoping that its a good one...as well as my first day at work tomorrow!!!

Twiddle.  Yup. Definitely what's in the plans for the weekend.  Why? BECAUSE Trevor went duck hunting.  Why? BECAUSE Misty has family over for Lilly's big 1 year old birthday party tomorrow!!!  Why? BECAUSE Jessica is off doing busy stuff.  Why? BECAUSE Whitney says she's coming next weekend.  Ugh. I guess that's all. Guess I'll stop. Twiddle comes from Trevor's mouth.  Or Eric's. Whoever's pretty for sure they both use it almost on a regular basis.

But seriously..LAMEST. WEEKEND. EVER. 

Thankfully, my dear friends Misty and Andrew invited me over for supper or it was going to be a pizza and movie night.  However the movie still stands.

RED BOX = GREATEST. THING. EVER. 

Who can beat a $1 movie?!  Going the Distance is what is in the DVD player.  So I hope it's worth watching.

Anyway back to the friend thing...Here are a couple that NEVER leave me.

Love them! EXCEPT...they're going to make me have a heart attack by the end of the night.  Not eeeeeven kidding.  Jersey keeps barking at something at the door and it's totally creeping me out.  NOT COOL. *PAUSE* K, Trevor informed me she's seeing shadows cause too many lights are on. hehe. Fixed that! Ahh, all better! :)

Along with dinner at Misty and Andrew's came a little 1 year old Birthday cake preview...

Uh huh...picked it up and shoved it right in her mouth.  This was of course after she was literally INHALING cake.  NO kidding.  Her nose was full of green icing.

Oh and one more thing...I have one more friend who won't be leaving me this weekend.  It's the freaking fire alarm.  Ughhhhhhh. Won't stop beeping. Changed the battery and it's still beeping.  Reset it and it's still beeping.  I don't know what's wrong with it but it's definitely not cool. So who knows how much sleep I'll be getting tonight.  

ON THE OTHER HAND...Happy 1st Birthday to lil Miss Lilly Claire Garrison today!!

Oh Crappy Days!

It's been a long weekend.  Pretty rough one to be exact. 

Friday- Trevor was upset that the Aggies lost because that booted him out of winning his football bowl thing.

Saturday- I shot a gun for my very first time. All the boys went out to shoot skeet and Misty and I caught up with them later.  We had to go find Lilly some birthday shoes first!! Not going to lie- She's going to be absolutely A-dorable on her 1ST Birthday!!

Now back to shooting the gun for the very first time...I'm definitely not a natural. Pretty for sure I got a few good laughs.  But it's okay it was just my first time.  Trevor was bummed he didn't get a picture if that tells you anything. 

SUNDAY....Is when it all began.  All day Saturday we kept hearing we were going to get 4 in. of snow.  I was like "Ya right, it's not going to snow that much in the friggin tropics."  Well I woke up Sunday morning and it wasn't exactly snowing.  It was raining- which eventually turned into sleet and then snow. 

 Trevor and I kind of laughed when our friend informed us that the electricity would go out tomorrow.  Once again I was like "Ya right, it's not going to do that much to make the electricity go out".  The only reason we believed this is because of seeing worse back home and people here freak out! If it snows a little and you go to the grocery store or Walmart or any of the sort there are thousands of people there stocking up on everything. And then it happened.  10:30 Sunday morning...ELECTRICITY WENT OUT!

We went to church thinking that after church was over it'd be back on no problem.  We were wrong AGAIN. We had no electricity till 2:30 in the afternoon.  It kept going on and off, but at 2:30 it stayed on till  8:30 then the games began again.  The advantage from all this "no electricity" is that we had a Slumber Party last night!  Neighbors didn't have electricity, but Trevor did!

The electricity was still playing games this morning, but it's back on.  Hope its here to stay! :)

twenty eleven

So I haven't blogged in a few days thinking that nothing exciting has happened and then I remembered....I failed to fill all of you in on New Years!

I have always had horrible New Year Eve's ((I think it all began my Senior year in high school when we didn't have any electricity because of the huge snow storm)), but here lately they just keep getting better and better.  Nothing too exciting happened- Trevor had his annual New Year's Party and some friends came over.  We mostly hung out and partied, even squeezed in a game of Guesstures.  It was pretty fun- might be my new favorite game!  Had lots of good food and good drinks! Trevor was pretty proud of his veggie dish that he made all by himself.  He informed me it was Facebook AND Blog worthy so....

here it is.

BUH-BYE TWENTY TEN

2010: 

good times, bad times, happy, sad, angry, successful, a year full of good memories and bad but mostly good because in...

JANUARY: I rang in the new year of 2010 in the state of Louisiana....not Texas. 

And Trevor had his first New Year's party in his new house!!

FEBRUARY: I experienced going to my very first Mardi Gras!!! It was a blast and can't wait for this years. :)

MARCH: For the FIRST time ever, I did NOTHING for Spring Break but worked. 

& my mom and sisters came to visit!

APRIL: Rocked out a weekend in College Station for Duck Jam!

MAY: Got another Capt'n Ron Crawfish Boils down in the books & received an Associate's Degree in General Studies for having a ridiculous amount of hours, but mainly because I'm just that cool.

JUNE: TURNED 21!!! WOOHOO!! 

& took a trip to New Orleans & Gulf Shores!!! **both firsts for me also ((never had been to a beach))**

Absolutely loved it and CAN NOT wait to go back!!!

JULY: Took the yearly family vaca to Red River, New Mexico. My 21st time to go on the family vaca to Red River.

AUGUST: Aunt and Uncle visited Shreveport for their first time, Maryn started Kindergarten, and Trevor and I passed the *ONE* year mark in our relationship...that's a first for me!!

SEPTEMBER: Was obviously a bore. Nothing exciting happened that I can remember...

OCTOBER: After having a crappy season up to this point, Texas beat Nebraska- BIG SHOCKER...

& the Texas Rangers made it to the World Series!!

 NOVEMBER: Wade Phillips got fired!! Jason Garrett got hired!! BIG turn around for them Cowboys!! :)

DECEMBER: Went to the Annual Smith Bit...I mean Schlumberger Christmas Party for the first time!

& mostly...learned a lot from 2010 and matured just a little bit more!

So here's to a great, blessed, new year!!!!
