Just Another Weekend

Another weekend has passed.  Another weekend in the books.  

Trevor was on call this weekend, fortunately it was as if he wasn't on call at all.  He didn't have any calls! (Which is really probably a bad thing)

Anyway, since he was on call we pretty much had a relaxing weekend.  Friday night we tried out a new restaurant.  Well, technically only new to me.  It has been opened for quite some time and Trevor had eaten there once, but I had not yet tried it out.  We went to Genghis Grill.  It was pretty good but very different from your ordinary restaurant.  Here, you make your own food.  No lie.  They give you a bowl and you put whatever you want in this bowl and at the end of the line they cook it all together for you and bring it to your table.  I was really scared about how it would turn out.  I was just putting everything in there and letting Trevor take over since I had never been there before.  Even scarier.  But surprisingly enough, it turned out pretty good.  Kinda on the spicy side, but pretty delish!

It rained Friday and was cold!  Mekayla = not happy.  I love the cold, don't get me wrong, but not when I'm not prepared for it.  I love the cold in the winter time only!  After supper, I voted for us to go home.  I had every intention on putting my sweats on and curling up under a blanket to watch a movie. And that's exactly what we did.  Yes, it was that cold.  After what we were watching ended, I was scrolling through the guide and found 10 THINGS I HATE ABOUT YOU! Ah, love that movie! I tried to watch it, but I failed miserably.  I fell asleep. :( 

Saturday we messed around all day.  That is after we cleaned the whole house.  Trust me it needed it. :|  Later we ended up going to buy groceries! Thank goodness!  We were about to starve to death!

This would be why I normally unload groceries! But props to Trevor for trying.

If you look closely towards the back, he basically just shoved junk upon junk.

Sunday we went to see American Reunion.  It was pretty good and definitely funny.  This time we were actually early for a movie, but the first time we were early, we didn't even need to be.  When we walked into the theater there was ONE, ONE other couple there.  We sat wherever we wanted to! 

It was definitely a pretty relax weekend! Loved it!

Now for some humor:

So Trevor and I do this actually kinda mean thing to Jersey.  But it's pretty hilarious.  

Trevor always starts it, I swear.  Anyway every time I tell Jersey to do something, like get in the cage, Trevor tells her to do the complete opposite and Jersey will go back and forth.  It's funny because you can tell how completely lost and confused she is.  I should record her one time.  If I tell her to get in the cage, she'll come towards the cage, then Trevor will be like "No Jersey you don't have to get in the cage", then she'll leave.  It goes back and forth till Jersey just gives up.  Anyway we did this to her this weekend and this time I just went toward her to pick her up to get her in the cage and she totally freaked and peed on the floor! Ha, she had never done that before, but I guess we scared her and she finally peed.  HA!  So mean, but so funny.  Poor Jersey.

Also...I saw this on someone's Facebook this weekend. 

Kinda made me laugh.  

Only 7 more days left of school!  Whoop!!

Home Again, Home Again, Jiggity Jig

Or atleast that's what my grandma said every time we pulled into the garage!

It has seriously been nonstop since Thursday, April, 5th.  Not that I'm complaining!  Thursday I had class all day, and then hit the road to Dallas to fly to Amarillo for the weekend!  I had much needed quality time with my mom and had a great time back home!  We even all had a Girls Day Out the Saturday I was home with my mom and all my sisters!  It was time well needed for all of us. 

Sunday was of course Easter! We all got in our Easter dresses and headed to church!  The children hunted eggs, and we headed over to my grandmas for a delicious lunch!  Mmmm, I've already missed everyone's cooking.  My grandpas turkey, my grandmas potatoes and gravy and stuffing, my moms rolls, my aunts broccoli rice casserole, my other aunts desserts....the list goes on and on.  Of course I ate waay tooo much! But I had to keep in mind that I was heading to the beach in a few days, so I had to work out after all that food!  The day ended with games with the fam!  Of course Michael cheated his way to the top.  

Monday I headed back to Shreveport.  I got back about 8 and started doing laundry.  I only had a day to get ready to head to Galveston!  Tuesday was pretty much my only lazy day of my Spring Break!

After unpacking and repacking it was time to head to Galveston! 

We made it there in time to go check out the beach and have some supper!  

Thursday morning the men and Melissa went fishing! They had to go out and catch our supper!

Don't worry, we didn't eat shark even though Trevor caught one ^^. 

While the men and Melissa were out catching our dinner, Pam, Babe, and I took the girls for a walk!

They are getting so big!

On Saturday we went to the Strand where there are shops everywhere and you can drink walking around! It's almost like going to the mall and walking into the Buckle getting a drink, walking out and going to Victoria Secret to get another drink! But outside.  You can shop and drink at the same time! Pure craziness! We also ate at a pretty fabulous Mexican restaurant called the Original Mexican Cafe, got icecream at La Kings, and walked around. 

The whole week we tended to play this game a lot.  I wasn't very good at it, but it was definitely fun!  I never could throw a frisbee very well. :(

While we were at the Strand, we saw a Pirate ship! Trevor got excited cause he thought you could ride it...little did he know.

Next to the Pirate ship, was a cruise ship!  It was ginormous!! HUGE! If I would've tried to get a picture from the side, I swear that I wouldn't have gotten the whole thing in the picture!

We relaxed, we went to the beach, we went shopping, we ate, we played games, we laughed, we drank, we did all of the above and it was a great time and a great break! 

Needless to say I was not excited to start this week back to reality! 

Now off subject...

This would be my wreath.  My pretty beautiful Spring/Summer wreath!

If you look very closely right above the middle flower, there are an arrangement of sticks.  Sticks that aren't supposed to be apart of my wreath! 

Obviously a bird thinks my wreath is so pretty that she's going to make it her nesting area!  Uh, I have news for her!  No baby birds will be born in my wreath! Ugh...

I Smell Spring Break!

I don't think you understand how patiently/impatiently I've been waiting for Spring Break! I can finally smell it!  Today we had a test... a Physics test...

This is what popped up when I hit submit!

WHOOP!  So excited!! Yes, I took it from my phone because I didn't know how to get a clear picture from my computer screen, so I pulled it up again afterwards on my phone!
I kicked that tests BOO-TAY!

I couldn't be any happier...or wait could I?  I have mixed emotions.  I am so ecstatic and thankful that I made a 92, however a 92 is a B and a 93 is an A.  Really? 1 point away from an A???  Ugh.  Oh well, I have accepted my "B". 

One more day of class and I will be on flying in the sky towards home!

Come on tomorrow at 4!!  This girl is super pumped!
