Here lately, Trevor and I have forgotten that we have a home.
Every weekend has been a new adventure. This past weekend we drove to Tyler, then on to Fort Worth helping Jessica move. It was extremely hot, but got done in record time. :) We spent the Saturday night out on the town! Good luck to Jessica in her new home and new school!
I don't think I have shared this story yet, but while I was in Houston my mom was eating and wanted me to try whatever it was that she was eating. (I forgot) Well my mouth was full at the time she asked, and while she was holding her fork out for me to take the bite, the sauce dripped in my speaker of my phone. Yup, that little bitty hole. Why it couldn't have dropped elsewhere is beyond me. Oh well, I guess that's what I get for having it out. **(However I feel if I can't see my phone when I am out in public I feel like I have lost it and end up having a mini heart attack. I know, I know welcome to 2012.)** Anyway, that resulted to not being able to hear when someone calls. I always end up having to put them on speaker. I'm sure everyone will eventually get tired of me saying "What?" 300x when I can't put them on speaker. AAAANNNNYWAY, Sunday we decided to hit up the Apple store. Levi influenced me to try my luck since it didn't look like I had any damage. We ended up at the Galleria, where there's not an Apple store, but who was I to complain. I was like a little kid in the candy store seeing all those stores!! I drug Trevor into every store that was way unaffoardable. We made our way through Louis Vuitton, Michael Kors, Coach, Tiffanys, etc. Ah! I was in heaven. I even took him into the Cowboys store! Whoop! He was more than thrilled.
Once we left the Galleria we made it to the real mall with the real Apple store. As we made the corner, we were in complete awe. Seriously how were people even moving much less breathing in that store?! It was a fire hazard fo sho! I knew nothing was going to come of this, but we made our way through anyway. After finding the guy that was supposed to help us, finding out that we had to have a reservation and that there wouldn't be any till the next day, and Trevor cussing him for not having more than 3 stores in a 900 mile radius, we found our way out. I actually wanted to run out because after Trevor cussed the poor guy I'm pretty sure my face was beat red.
Wednesday was 'Merica's B-DAY. We spent the day out on the lake. I know what you're thinking...how did we get to the lake since TREVOR SOLD HIS BOAT. Well thankfully our friends Amy & Patty have a fishing boat that got us there! We then met up with some of Patrick's friends. They lived out on the lake.
I also made red and blue jello shots for the occasion. I don't think I'll ever be in charge of jello shots again. ;)
Obviously there's a problem with this picture....drinking wine whiiiile making jello shots. Maybe that's why they tasted a wee bit strong. ;)
I also made a Pinterest recipe.. Banana Pudding Poke Cake. It was pretty delish and extremely easy to make, which is always a plus.
After the lake, Trevor and I found that the sun loved us that day and are now paying for it. We also went back to Amy and Patty's to eat some shrimp that Patty boiled! They were also delish as always!! We came back to the house, where we then headed to the neighborhood firework show. They had it at the country club and it was a really nice show!
Lailee was absolutely terrified of the fireworks. If she was outside when one went off she ran to the door immediately wanting in. You had better let her in too, or she would go nuts at the door. She wouldn't even go outside on her own. I would have to throw her out in the grass. She would peek out the door and have all 4's in the house but stick her head out to see if it was safe. She would back up and not go out. If she was inside when one went off, she went to the door, barked at the noise, then ran under the bed... It was a long few days for Lailee. I think she's okay now.
Yesterday me and Amy had a hot date. After work we grabbed a bite to eat and watched Channing Tatum strip down. ;) The movie story line kinda blowed, but seeing Channing Tatum's booty was worth it. Ha. I told Amy we would have to go more often because I came home to a clean house AND clean laundry...
WHAAAT?!
No worries, Trevor was not ill. He said he was just "apologizing in advance" cause he was going to get out of control this weekend.
Greeeaaaattttt....
