About Me

My photo
I am a student just trying to graduate and living life. I have a wonderful family, great friends, and an awesome boyfriend. Oh and I have a precious pup that I love so much. I love reading a good book, playing board games/cards, and decorating for anything. Working out makes me feel so much better, but it's a battle everyday. I've been in school for what seems like forever and will finally graduate in May. I am also a firm believer in "Everything Happens for a Reason". All in all as its beens said plenty of times before- I'm not perfect BUT I'm me! :)

Friday the 13th...

is supposed to be exciting and thrilling... so I thought!  However for this girl, not so much.
I don't think that I can express how deeply I hate school.  Everyone always tells me that real life is worse than school, and I am just not buying it.  Pretty for sure my job will not keep me up till late writing papers and what not.  Ya I'm talking about that stupid research paper.  Not to worry I have atleast 4 1/2 pages, so I'm almost done, but I stayed up till 1 last night writing it and quite frankly this is not what I wanted to do with my Friday night.

ESPN is on in the background. (just for background noise I didn't feel the need to find something I actually wanted to watch, it would only then distract me).  I have a glass of wine to keep me sane.  And I am huddled up under a blanket in the living room writing a paper at exactly 12:16 on a FRIDAY NIGHT. Lame.  The only good thing about this situation is that Trevor is once again on call.  That is only a good thing so that he is not up getting crazy distracting me from my paper.  Cause quite frankly if I can't have fun...neither can Trevor. ;)

In regards to this entire post....hoping for a better Saturday.

Ten Randoms on Tuesday

1.  Trevor and I are peeling like crazy white people from our crazy white people burns we got on the 4th of July from being on the lake all day.

2.  You know that mouth watering sensation you get right before you are going to throw up?  Ya I totally get it when I'm peeling the skin off.  So disgusting.
I HATE TO PEEL.

3.  I wasn't peeling until Monday.  I was doing so good until I went to the gym and got sweat blisters, which then turned into peeling.  I vouch that it's the gym's fault I started peeling.  Trevor said I would have eventually began to peel.  DISAGREED.  Stupid gym. Stupid sweat blisters.

4.  Lailee still won't go outside, compared to pre July 4th..wait no people started fireworks July 2nd so PRE JULY 2ND, she loved going outside.  Now I have to throw her out there.  I'm starting to think the apocalypse is beginning in the back yard and that is her fair warning to us.

5.  Last night (as I previously stated) I threw Lailee outside to go potty.  What did her and Jersey instantly do?! Chase a baby frog.  Quite possibly the tiniest frog I have ever seen.  I did not want them eating the frog; Trevor didn't want them eating the frog.  What did I do to stop this?  Yell at them through the back door from inside.  Why? Because there was a tiny frog that was going to eat me if I went outside.  Why didn't I open the door and yell at them? Because that little nasty tiny frog was right by the door.  I was convinced he was going to come in the house and we would never get him out if I opened that door.  Did Trevor and I actually fight about the fact that I wouldn't just open the door because of the tiny nasty frog?? Yes.
I HATE FROGS.

6.  Pinterest needs to step it up a notch.  When I have homework and go to www.pinterest.com, it should simply say, "No pinning today Mekayla.  Go do your homework".

7.  Which brings me to my next point, why can't someone just write my research paper for me.  Maybe even do the research, heck I'll write it.  I can't find any info.  I hate writing papers over a page long.

8.  Why can't writing papers be as easy as blogging or something like that?!  Blah.

9.  I started back at school today if you can't tell by my negative attitude.  Yes school gives me a negative attitude, but I am going to a new place this rotation and I absolutely love it! :)

10.  We have been watching  a lot  of movies here lately.  Project X, Ted, 21 Jump Street, This Means War, Man on a Ledge...I even watched a little bit of Dirty Dancing Sunday.  However Trevor's teenager acting friend Kyle was over and decided to take over the T.V. and eat all of our food.

Wouldn't Have It Any Other Way

Here lately, Trevor and I have forgotten that we have a home.
Every weekend has been a new adventure.  This past weekend we drove to Tyler, then on to Fort Worth helping Jessica move.  It was extremely hot, but got done in record time.  :)  We spent the Saturday night out on the town! Good luck to Jessica in her new home and new school!

I don't think I have shared this story yet, but while I was in Houston my mom was eating and wanted me to try whatever it was that she was eating. (I forgot) Well my mouth was full at the time she asked, and while she was holding her fork out for me to take the bite, the sauce dripped in my speaker of my phone.  Yup, that little bitty hole.  Why it couldn't have dropped elsewhere is beyond me.  Oh well, I guess that's what I get for having it out. **(However I feel if I can't see my phone when I am out in public I feel like I have lost it and end up having a mini heart attack.  I know, I know welcome to 2012.)** Anyway, that resulted to not being able to hear when someone calls.  I always end up having to put them on speaker.  I'm sure everyone will eventually get tired of me saying "What?" 300x when I can't put them on speaker.  AAAANNNNYWAY, Sunday we decided to hit up the Apple store.  Levi influenced me to try my luck since it didn't look like I had any damage.  We ended up at the Galleria, where there's not an Apple store, but who was I to complain.  I was like a little kid in the candy store seeing all those stores!! I drug Trevor into every store that was way unaffoardable.  We made our way through Louis Vuitton, Michael Kors, Coach, Tiffanys, etc.  Ah! I was in heaven.  I even took him into the Cowboys store! Whoop!  He was more than thrilled.

Once we left the Galleria we made it to the real mall with the real Apple store.  As we made the corner, we were in complete awe.  Seriously how were people even moving much less breathing in that store?!  It was a fire hazard fo sho!  I knew nothing was going to come of this, but we made our way through anyway.  After finding the guy that was supposed to help us, finding out that we had to have a reservation and that there wouldn't be any till the next day, and Trevor cussing him for not having more than 3 stores in a 900 mile radius, we found our way out.  I actually wanted to run out because after Trevor cussed the poor guy I'm pretty sure my face was beat red.

Wednesday was 'Merica's B-DAY.  We spent the day out on the lake.  I  know what you're thinking...how did we get to the lake since TREVOR SOLD HIS BOAT.  Well thankfully our friends Amy & Patty have a fishing boat that got us there!  We then met up with some of Patrick's friends.  They lived out on the lake.
I also made red and blue jello shots for the occasion. I don't think I'll ever be in charge of jello shots again. ;)

Obviously there's a problem with this picture....drinking wine whiiiile making jello shots.  Maybe that's why they tasted a wee bit strong. ;)

I also made a Pinterest recipe.. Banana Pudding Poke Cake.  It was pretty delish and extremely easy to make, which is always a plus.

After the lake, Trevor and I found that the sun loved us that day and are now paying for it.  We also went back to Amy and Patty's to eat some shrimp that Patty boiled! They were also delish as always!! We came back to the house, where we then headed to the neighborhood firework show.  They had it at the country club and it was a really nice show!

Lailee was absolutely terrified of the fireworks.  If she was outside when one went off she ran to the door immediately wanting in.  You had better let her in too, or she would go nuts at the door.  She wouldn't even go outside on her own.  I would have to throw her out in the grass.  She would peek out the door and have all 4's in the house but stick her head out to see if it was safe.  She would back up and not go out.  If she was inside when one went off, she went to the door, barked at the noise, then ran under the bed...  It was a long few days for Lailee.  I think she's okay now.

Yesterday me and Amy had a hot date.  After work we grabbed a bite to eat and watched Channing Tatum strip down.  ;)  The movie story line kinda blowed, but seeing Channing Tatum's booty was worth it.  Ha.  I told Amy we would have to go more often because I came home to a clean house AND clean laundry...WHAAAT?!
No worries, Trevor was not ill.  He said he was just "apologizing in advance" cause he was going to get out of control this weekend. Greeeaaaattttt....

Sorry it was such a long post, after all I haven't blogged in a while...
It's back to school this week.  Where. Is. August?!
