About Me

My photo
I am a student just trying to graduate and living life. I have a wonderful family, great friends, and an awesome boyfriend. Oh and I have a precious pup that I love so much. I love reading a good book, playing board games/cards, and decorating for anything. Working out makes me feel so much better, but it's a battle everyday. I've been in school for what seems like forever and will finally graduate in May. I am also a firm believer in "Everything Happens for a Reason". All in all as its beens said plenty of times before- I'm not perfect BUT I'm me! :)

Bad Day vs. Bad Life

Yes, I did just purposely post that 3 times in a row.  I had to remember this today on the way home.
Today. Was. Awful.
I was running late this morning, my favorite teacher was at clinic today, I saw something I could've done a competency on for the first time since I've even been doing clinic, I failed it. Well my tech that I was working with sent my x-rays to the doctor, however my favorite teacher didn't think they were good enough.
My eye doctor's secretary is a very naughty word.  She won't give me any contacts and I'm completely out.  I thought I could get around it by going to 1-800-Contacts.  They still asked me for my doctor's name so they could check my prescription I guess because I got a call today from them that said they couldn't fill it because my prescription was out of date.  I called the eye doctor- can't get me in in November.  Keep in mind she couldn't get me in in August when I was home and knew I was about to be out of contacts.  I couldn't even finish asking "Can I atleast get one pair to last me until I can get an appointment?" before she said no.  She apparently wants me to go blind or get made fun of for wearing my glasses.  HATE her.  She's never really liked me anyway.  I'm finding a new doctor.  Which by the way will cost an arm and a leg to even see someone to get a prescription because this girl doesn't have insurance since she has become a big -23 year old- girl.  When is graduation again?

Lots more happened today, but I won't get that subject started again.
I also feel better about venting a little.
Thanks for listening to me vent! :)
It's bath and wine time now!

I Was Going to Come Up with An Amazing Title and This is What I Came Up With

We went to the Revel this past Tuesday.  We bought some art.

Trevor's lucky, so he got a really good deal.
The guy was tired of doing fleur de lis.  He was basically giving them away.
I love it and think it gives the living room a bold statement. ;)
I also had a glass of wine at the Revel. What goes better with art than wine?
This picture was taken because of the glass it was in.  I found it kinda comical.  It had a plastic lid on it.  Never seen such thing.  I didn't take a picture thinking, "Oh when I blog I will have proof I drank red wine".

Trevor thought it was high maintenance of me....whatever.
Oh and yes that is red wine.  I should've taken a picture of my VERY FIRST BIG GIRL EMPTY BOTTLE OF RED WINE.  I have been having a hard time transitioning to red wine and I finally finished a whole bottle all by myself, however I did not drink it correctly.  I had it chilled. :)  Maybe some day I can be a real grown up.

Last week Trevor mentioned how he wished I knew how to make Taco Soup.  It sounds so simple, but my family has never eaten it, so I've never had a recipe.  Of course I turned to Pinterest, but I did not want to make one and it not be good.  So I turned to the next best thing.  Mrs. Suzy Homemaker herself.  Amy gave me a pretty amazing recipe! Thanks Amy!!
And for all you Martins, in regards to Jess' post, yes I just took a picture of my food wanting all of you to care.

Speaking of Trevor being on his fishing trip, Amy's boyfriend was on a hunting trip, so we had a girls weekend!  Amy so graciously cooked all this yummy food Saturday and brought it to my house AND LEFT IT! Praise her.  Her food is always so yummy I wish I could cook like her!  Maybe some day.

Everyday Life

Where have I been and what have I been up to you ask?
Nothing. Nada. Absolutely nothing
Exxxccceeeept....STUDYING. :| I know, I know, I always complain about school and I probably will continue to complain about school until I no longer have to go! It's just stressful and I don't like being stressed.  I do have to give a shout out to Trevor for being such a trooper.  Thanks boogs for putting up with me being such a mean person and not breaking up with me or kicking me out or anything of the sort.  School just ultimately puts me in a bad mood and makes me take it out on everything else.  Oops!
School also makes me in a bad mood because my 2 day fall break I had, ya...it was spent studying and doing volunteer hours for my class that I have to do AAAAND because I had to get the flu shot.  Blah!  Which by the way...CVS said my insurance wouldn't cover it, went to Target and had to pay $20 and waited an hour, went to work the next day found out a nurse was there from 9-10 (my wait at Target) giving flu shots for free.  WHAT. THE. HECK?! Thanks coworkers (cough cough Amy cough) for the heads up!!

This past weekend Trevor was on call.  Hence why I was an ol' grandma Saturday!  It was cold this weekend and I absolutely loved everything about it!  Too bad it's not going to stay like that for a while. :(  Apparently it's back to the 80's tomorrow.  Anyway back to me being an ol' grandma.... it was cold outside so Trevor suggested we make "chicken and dumplings".  So I got on handy dandy Pinterest and found us a "chicken and dumplings" recipe.  By the time I started cooking it, Trevor was THINKING chicken NOODLE SOUP, however he was saying chicken AND DUMPLINGS.  Anyway, we ate the chicken and dumplings and they were pretty tasty!! I also made pumpkin pies!! Yummmmm! Love me some pumpkin pie!

The time came around once more for Lailee to get her yearly vaccinations.  I knew this was going to be costly as it is every year.  HOWEVER, this year it was more costly than last. :| Why? Because this little rotten girl has allergies.  *sigh*
She had an ear infection a few months back and it went away.  Her ears started looking bad again but I knew we were about to go back to the vet so I didn't say anything until today.  As soon as I told the vet that her ears looked bad she asked if she has been licking her paws.  Holy smokes has she been licking her paws!! Like a MAN-I-AC! So bad to the point her paws are flaky/dry. Apparently if it's a "pollen allergy" she would be doing something different.  Since the effects are in her face and front paws it's apparently a food allergy.  Which then came with a "there's a $300 test you can do to find out what she's allergic to". Uh....college student. We better start making some guesses as to what she's allergic to! Sorry dog, you are not getting a $300 allergy test.  Her medicine that she got for her allergies was enough as it is.  After she runs out of that, we will be switching to Benadryl or any other suggestions that you people out there may have!
Anything to keep her from licking! It's been driving us up the wall!

I hope you all have had a great Monday and hope for an awesome rest of the week!
