Aalllllriiiight.
So this is what's been going down.
I just got home yesterday. I was completely dreading the drive because this was my first time to make the drive home with an additional two hours. Surprisingly, the extra two hours didn't affect me too much. That would most likely be because I stopped in Panhandle to watch Mekenna run at her track meet. I wasn't supposed to leave until 3ish Thursday, but they let me have the day off. In that case, I attempted to surprise my mom, but my mom ruins everything. She attempted to make me crack and it worked like a charm. Later on at the track meet, both Lailee and I were out of our element. Lailee was shaking it was so cold!
That would probably be because she got a haircut...
Yes my dog is prissy and yes she has bows in her hair for all of you who didn't know.
Before we left, we obviously had to get gas. Ever since gas has outrageously gone up, I have refused to fill up my car. I would put $20-$30 in but seeing that we had a long trip to make we had to fill up...
You probably can't see that but $52?!?!?!? That's probably nothing for some of you, but for me?!
I used to could fill my car up on $36. *sigh*
I should probably invest in flying next time.
Speaking of our trip...
We made a pitstop in Wichita Falls to fill up once again and you would never believe what happened.
I had shorts on and while I was getting something to drink, an older guy (like 60's) was stocking up the shelves. All the sudden I hear him whistling the tune to "Who Wear's Short Shorts". I was like surely not...so I went on about my business. As I walked passed him, he uttered, "Goodness, that's ridiculous". I was like really? Is this complete stranger really trying to call me out? I'm not one to judge what he's wearing so why does he have to judge me?! It kinda really made me mad. Then it got me thinking...maybe I'm too "old" to wear shorter shorts. I wanted to slap him upside the head, but went with a dirty look instead. People these days...
Since I've arrived, it's been nonstop. I arrived in Panhandle for Mekenna's track meet, drove the rest of the way home, was exhausted, slept, got up and went to Amarillo to get my haircut, came back home only to get in the car again to go to Dalhart for church. Busy. Busy. Maybe tomorrow I can finally relax! :)
& this is life as I know it...
