About Me

My photo
I am a student just trying to graduate and living life. I have a wonderful family, great friends, and an awesome boyfriend. Oh and I have a precious pup that I love so much. I love reading a good book, playing board games/cards, and decorating for anything. Working out makes me feel so much better, but it's a battle everyday. I've been in school for what seems like forever and will finally graduate in May. I am also a firm believer in "Everything Happens for a Reason". All in all as its beens said plenty of times before- I'm not perfect BUT I'm me! :)

Two-Cents Tuesday

I know, I need to pick up the slack, but I've just been so unbelievably busy.  I know that everyone is always busy, it's what we call life, but sometimes I need to take a breather.  So today I did just that.  I am fortunate enough to take a breather when need be since I am still in school. Ha.
How will I survive in the real world...
Anyway, what better way to get back to blogging than to blog on Two-Cents Tuesday.
Not that I had intentions on copying you Abby Martin, but after reading her blog and watching a re-run of Ellen it was necessary that my two-cents be
I need to separate myself from my shows and the real world.
Honestly I watch Scandal and if you don't. Start now.
You won't regret it.  And last Thursday was so intense that I felt I was just in awe for 3-4 days.  A certain character got killed off and I almost cried sitting here on my couch watching it.  The end was  the most horrifying scene ever.
EVER!!!
If I could get a hold of the producer of Scandal I would let her know that it was totally uncalled for.
The guest on the re-run of Ellen said he saw the guy that plays the President in Scandal out and he had to remember that he was actually not the President.
It's crazy how wrapped up people get in their shows and I do need to separate myself from the shows and the real world.
Buuuutttt that just wouldn't be as fun! :)
So on that note...
WATCH SCANDAL.

Just Another Marvelous Monday...

Yup, marvelous, not manic. Nothing manic about today, except I do wish that it was Sunday so I could've had a fun day rather than have spent it inside in a crummy ol office building. Blah.

It was a beautiful day, I am loving the time change because it is still day light when I get off work, etc etc!! So yay for all that marvelous stuff!
I also made a countdown for how many days of work I have left.

Whoop!
Actually let's not whoop! about that too soon... I will soon be unemployed until I get a big girl job and will not have anything coming in. Wah Wah Wah....
Wait...what- countdowns?! You want a countdown update?! Well, okay since you asked...

14 work days left
18 days of clinic left
59 days until graduation!!
51 days left of living in this apartment
and last, but not least
215 days until the big day!

Happy Marvelous Monday!!

A Productive Saturday

The only good thing about me not going to Tulsa, or Trevor not coming here is I. get. so. much. done.
Seriously, what did I NOT do yesterday?!?!
I  cleaned the apartment.  I swear it's just me and I have no idea what happens during the week, but a tornado comes through or my latest theory, Lailee has a party while I'm gone.
(Proof of theory: My electricity bill was the highest it's ever been this past month, hence Lailee's having a party and cranking up the heat/AC..while I'm gone)
I did some homework.
I cleaned out my closet. Well.... probably if Trevor saw my closet he would disagree, but I swear I did it.
I made fajitas for supper.
 I made banana bread.
I did some laundry.
I know, I know like I said what did I NOT do yesterday.
I'll tell you what I did NOT do yesterday...
GO. SEE. LUKE. BRYAN!!! (insert dramatic upset smiley here)
My friend Amy was already going and at one point I was suppose to go, she even had us tickets. Anyway long story...she sold them to someone else because we weren't going to be able to go. AND THEN HERE I WAS....SCHEDULE WIDE OPEN. So I got online yesterday morning and low and behold there were tickets left.  Relatively cheap too! I called everyone in my phone I swear and everyone had an excuse. (Once again insert dramatic upset smiley here)
There was only 1 ticket left in the same section as Amy, but rows away so I had decided I wasn't going to sit by myself like a loser.
I should've just gone and sat by myself like a loser cause it sounds like I missed out.
Oh well..... maybe next time....

Post Mardi Gras Break

I went back to clinic today.  It was only half a day but I was worn out. Ha, that's what good ol Mardi Gras break will do to ya!

What does one do on Mardi Gras break you ask?
Well.....
One goes to Tulsa to see their fiancé and go enjoy an Oklahoma City Thunder game traveling via party bus from Tulsa to OKC.
Party bus?

Ya we be ballas like that! Ha, joking but really though....
It was quite the time if I do say so myself! So much of a time that this girl did not get off the couch until 3 Saturday. And then got up to go get us some Ted's! Scrumptious! :)
Sunday it snowed. So we went to church and watched movies Sunday.
Monday- Trevor's office closed so he did a little work at home while I did homework (of course I had homework during break) and then we shopped a little and ended up playing in the snow! We were only playing in the snow (on the 4-wheeler) for about 15 min until
Wah.
Wah.
Wah.
The cops came! Ha... don't worry they weren't looking for us, but they did tell us to go home! :'(
Sad day.
When we went shopping, I picked up a few things to make a new wreath!

Easy peasy...
I am clearly also obsessed with my lanterns.  Ever since I got them I have been stuffing them with stuff thats fitting for every holiday, for every holiday.

Tuesday finally broke my lazy streak.  I actually made myself up and Trevor and I had our first official meeting with the priest.  I was so nervous for some reason.  But it was fine.. so yay for that!
It was also Fat Tuesday so of course we had to celebrate! However, Louisiana has apparently already left Trevor's body since he chose leftover enchiladas over gumbo for supper. Pfff... it was Fat Tuesday hello!
Wednesday it was back on the road to Louisiana.
Only 2 more times do I have to make that trip from Louisiana to Oklahoma and one of those times won't be made with a trip back to Louisiana! ;)
Countdown is totally on! Whoop!

TWO-CENTS FAT TUESDAY

Happy Mardi Gras from this Texas-born-Louisiana-living-future-Oklahomian! Whew! That was a lot!
My two-cents for the day?!
1 cent: Lousiana rocks for celebrating Mardi Gras because I am currently on Mardi Gras break! Whoop!
2 cent: It's Fat Tuesday!! So be a fatty today, you have an excuse!

My family thinks it's absurd that I am on, what we Louisianians call, Mardi Gras Break!! They're just jealous! *Because I also get a Spring Break!
If you ask me... we get off Monday Tuesday and Wednesday.  We don't have class on Monday...classes resume Wednesday at 12, but our teachers deemed it stupid to go to clinic at 12, praise them, so we only go to clinic Thursday, which is our half day of clinic.... so what's the point of even going Thursday! :) I'll still take what I can get.
HAPPY FAT TUESDAY FRIENDS!
