Last night I went with Trevor to get his haircut. While we were waiting there was a little boy, probably about 4, waiting as well. I saw him twice (because I was counting) look up to his mother (who was on her phone) and say, "Momma I love you". It was the sweetest thing ever, but did the mother respond? No. I'm assuming she was tuning him out due to whatever she was doing on her phone.
Now I am as guilty as the next person to constantly be on my phone. I hate that I go to my phone every single time I'm bored, but that's how the world goes these days. Now if that wasn't something to inspire you to lay off the phone, I don't know what will.
It was heartbreaking to me that the little boy didn't get a response not once, but twice.
FACT: Limit your time on your phone and pay attention to what's going on around you. Never know what you might miss out on. :)
This morning I was on Pinterest. For all you who know Trevor and I, know that we've been together for quite some time {1 month away from being 4 1/2 years, but hey who's counting} and everyone's wondering what Trevor's deal is, including myself. HOWEVER... I saw this on Pinterest and it made me feel better. Our time will come, so everyone has told me. Though I am probably impatient all of the time, this little ol pin made my day just a little bit better. I think it's safe to say that we COMPLETELY know each other. :)
FACT: "The longer you wait for something, the more you'll appreciate it when you get it. Cause anything worth having, is definitely worth waiting."
